Starter & Pro
Plan terms.
Plain English. Last updated 19 October 2026. English law, England & Wales.
Who this is for
These terms cover the monthly website plans from Ironside Software Ltd (company no. 17240622): Starter at £49 a month and Pro at £99 a month. There is no setup fee. A one-off build is a separate quote if you ask for one.
This page is the short version you can actually read. If something here doesn’t match a written quote we both signed, the quote wins.
The 12-month minimum
Each plan runs for a minimum of 12 months from the day the site goes live. That covers the work of designing, writing and launching the site, plus hosting, the domain, and the monthly care that sits in the plan.
You can leave after those 12 months. You cannot cancel for convenience during the minimum term, unless we agree in writing (for example if we cannot deliver the site).
After year one
When the first 12 months are done, the plan rolls on month to month at the same price unless we have told you otherwise.
To cancel, give 30 days’ notice by email to enquiries@ironsidesoftware.co.uk. The plan ends at the next billing date after that notice period. You can send notice in the last month of the minimum term so it ends at 12 months rather than rolling on.
Paying
The monthly fee is billed in advance. This website does not take payment today — when Stripe Payment Links are live, paying through that link is how you start the plan.
If a payment fails, it is retried automatically. If the account is still unpaid 14 days after the missed payment, the live site is paused until the balance is cleared. Pausing means visitors may see a holding page; your content is not deleted.
Refunds
There are no refunds for a month that has already started. If you cancel with proper notice, you are not billed for months after the plan ends.
Who owns what
You own your words, photos, logo, and any trade marks you send me. You also own the domain name. If I register it for you, it is registered in your name (or transferred into your name on request).
Ironside owns the website code, layout and components while you are on the plan. You have a licence to use the live site for your business for as long as the plan is paid.
Buy-out. If you want to take the site away and host it yourself, ask. I will quote a one-off buy-out — typically in the same range as a one-off build, less time already spent — and hand over the files and the domain. Hosting and monthly care then stop.
What I need from you
Copy, photos, and a timely yes or no on previews. Delays on your side push the go-live date; they do not shorten the 12-month term once we are live.
English law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer if the law says you have them — most clients are businesses, and this is a business-to-business service.
