Data we collect

When you submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and any optional details such as business name, phone number, location, and project description.

When you visit our website, we collect anonymous usage data through analytics (see below). We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data.

How we use your data

We do not add you to a mailing list or share your details with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis

We process enquiry data on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to business enquiries) and, where applicable, contract (delivering services you have commissioned). Analytics data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in improving our website.

Third-party services

Formspree — Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree (formspree.io), who act as a data processor on our behalf. Their privacy policy applies to data handled through their service.

PostHog — We use PostHog analytics (EU-hosted) to collect anonymous page view and interaction data. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics unless you submit the contact form. PostHog may use cookies or similar technologies. You can block cookies via your browser settings.

Vercel — Our website is hosted on Vercel. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) may be retained briefly for security and performance.

How long we keep data

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client — in which case we retain records as required for business and tax purposes. Analytics data is retained according to PostHog's default retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk). To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@ironsidesoftware.co.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
